Every girl is looking for her real-life fairytale and, during a worldwide trip in 2006, Rachel Jackson - founder of ‘Cinderela B’ - found hers. Whilst partying in the sizzling carnival setting of Brazil, Rachel met the Brancante family - Cinderela and her two sons Ale and Gus - completely by chance. It was obvious right from the start that there was something unique and awe- inspiring about the Brancante family - and they clearly liked Rachel too, as they invited her to stay at their family home in Sao Paulo.

 

Rachel spent days savouring the sights and sounds of the city and getting to know the jewellery treasure troves of Sao Paulo, and nights listening to Cinderela’s inspiring tales of her experiences living in many of the fashion capitals of the world whilst she studied to be a lawyer.  Brazil itself captured Rachel’s imagination as an untapped mecca for fashion and original trends, and a mutual love for eye-catching, unique jewels became the basis of a long-term partnership between her and Cinderela.

 

Rachel was touched by Cinderela's decision to give something back to her country by making jewellery and other gifts to help local people, and although the two didn’t know it yet, they were already forming the ethos for ‘Cinderela B’.  Cinderela mentored Rachel, handing down her craft, vision and talent for creating outstanding jewellery. And that was just the beginning.  Sons Ale and Gus, both successful entrepreneurs in Brazil, encouraged Rachel to set up Cinderela B in the UK. The boys’ belief in pursuing their dreams with confidence, enjoyment and passion was all the motivation Rachel needed, and ‘Cinderela B’ was born in London, in August 2006.

 

A few months before the launch, Ale tragically lost his life in an accident. To say his spirit lives on would be an understatement. He embodied so many of the values that initially inspired Rachel, and will continue to inspire her forever. Ale loved life and he lived it to the full, creating adventure and never standing still. He embraced it as we all should - free as a bird and with passion - and this is the philosophy behind Cinderela B.

 

 All the designs on this site are hand-crafted by Rachel. She continues to use charms sourced from shopping trips to Brazil, handpicked with Cinderela and reflecting the vibrancy of Brazilian life. Their work is fun and flirty and you should enjoy every moment of wearing it!  In the spirit of Cinderela B, Rachel's creations are continually evolving, with new ideas and designs drawing inspiration from across the globe.
